When Rust servers wipe
from 37,544 wipes over the last 4 weeks
Every server faces the force wipe, and a lot of them wipe again on a day and hour of their own choosing. This page counts what servers actually did, not what they promise. Across 37,544 recorded wipes, Thursday comes out on top, and the heatmap below shows which evenings fill up and which stay quiet.

Restarts are left out: a new map less than six hours after the last counts as the same wipe. Times are UTC: UK time is the same in winter and an hour ahead in summer; US East is five hours behind in winter and four in summer.

What servers say they do
From the schedule tag a server publishes. "Not published" servers wipe when they like; the force wipe catches all of them.
Force wipes ahead

You asked, we answered
When is the next Rust force wipe?
Force wipe lands on the first Thursday of each month at 19:00 UK time, timed to the game update. The countdown on our force wipe page keeps the exact time for 2026. After that, any extra wipe is the server owner's call.
Do Rust servers wipe weekly or monthly?
Both, and biweekly sits in between. The weekly crowd tends to be modded or high-rate servers that want a fast reset; monthly suits vanilla and slower progress. The split for the servers we track is on this page, counted from real wipes rather than server tags.
What is the busiest day and hour for Rust wipes?
Right now Thursday carries the most wipes of any day in the week. The busy hours cluster in the evening, in each server's home region, so players are around for the fresh start. The heatmap above shows the pattern by hour in UTC.
