Terms of use

These terms explain what you can expect from Rust Pop Watch, and what we ask of you while you use it.

Data, as it comes. Rust Pop Watch reads server information from Steam's public Rust server list and directly from servers, refreshing every five minutes. That means a server can name itself something odd, show a wipe time late, or report a player count that trails reality. What you see is a live snapshot, not a promise.

Browsing the site. You can look through the server population list and compare servers without an account or a fee. Please don't send rapid automated requests to the pages; it slows things down for everyone. If you want a bulk dataset, write to hello@rustpopwatch.world and we'll work something out.

Bots and AI crawlers. Search engines, bots and AI crawlers are welcome. Read robots.txt and llms.txt first — they explain what sits where. Keep your request rate reasonable so ordinary visitors still get fast pages.

For server owners. A server appears here because it is on the public list. Its page shows what the server itself publishes: name, tags, wipe times and player slots. To change what we display, change it on the server. Most edits show up within five minutes.

No affiliation. Rust Pop Watch is independent and has no connection with Facepunch Studios. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.

Changes to these terms. We can update these terms without notice. The date at the foot of the page shows when they last changed. If you carry on using the site after that, you accept the updated terms.

The problem page

You asked, we answered

Does Rust Pop Watch guarantee the server numbers are correct?

No. We pull data from Steam's public server list and from servers directly every five minutes, but a server can report a wipe late, publish a misleading name, or show a player count that lags. Treat every figure as a snapshot rather than a guarantee.

Can I use Rust Pop Watch without paying or signing up?

Yes. You can browse and compare servers freely, with no account and no payment. We only ask that you don't flood the pages with rapid requests, because that slows the site for other players.

How do I get my server's details changed on Rust Pop Watch?

Change them on the server itself. The name, tags, wipe times and player slots we show come straight from what your server publishes, and most edits appear within five minutes. There is nothing to edit on our side.
